I just released a novel called Fantastic Adventure. I lied, I didn’t.

Com Truise – Wave 1
New EP from Com Truise that came out a week or two ago. There are a few hit and misses on this as the pacing is quite inconsistent throughout, but there are a few stand out tracks – Subsonic, Miserere Mei and Wave 1. I still hang onto his earlier glory days creating some seriouslyContinue reading “Com Truise – Wave 1”
Shirts.
It has been a bit tricky finding shirt designs I like lately. The shops seem to be heavy on surf-inspired designs (fair call considering the whole beach and Bondi bohemian thing that’s happening), brands which kind-of… don’t have a point, and American-Street-inspired stuff which isn’t quite me. Like all the literature out there on theContinue reading “Shirts.”
Hendrick’s Gin Illustrations
Was doing some homework on Hendrick’s Gin; the visuals are absolutely amazing! Not sure if it’s getting the attention it deserves.
I Accidentally Some Gashapon Vending Machines
//instagram.com/p/kOvcjuCoHT I had one of those weird motivational/ beast-mode moments a few weeks ago; it kick-started a new weekend project for me. I woke up and sourced some Gashapon vending machines, the idea which I’ve had in the back of my mind for years but never got around to. I’ve always had an odd relationshipContinue reading “I Accidentally Some Gashapon Vending Machines”
Hands – The Soul is Quick
The Field’s Axel Willner has just released his side project, Hands, on one of Kompakt’s smaller sub-labels, Ecstatic, for what seems to be even more left-field offerings. A far cry from his previous stuff Looping State of Mind and Cupid’s Head, Willner elaborates that it’s “a protest record for when you’ve had enough of how theContinue reading “Hands – The Soul is Quick”
Slowdive – Pygmalion Demos
News of Slowdive’s reunion reminded me of a moment I had listening to their stuff one late night on the bus from UNSW when I was studying. I was listening to the Pygamalion Eras Demo album and I was getting seriously hooked. It was one of the first albums during my early music exploration phaseContinue reading “Slowdive – Pygmalion Demos”
Tribute to Hong Kong 80s Action Movies
Everything I love about the classic HK 80s film: the fighting sound effects, the space tracks, the old film look, even down to the font of the opening titles. What a time it was, and I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking that. I was inspired by Sarah playing some cheesy cover synth songs onContinue reading “Tribute to Hong Kong 80s Action Movies”
Bladerunner OST – Tales of the Future
Was re-listening to the Bladerunner soundtrack for the first time in a while the other day; I’ve almost forgotten how bloody amazing it is. One of my favourite tracks below.
Squeegee
I was recently mildly fascinated by the whole ‘squeegee men at traffic lights’ thing and my curiosity took me to Window Cleaning Magzine and some wiki articles.. Fact #1: In London, they are called Squeegee Merchants; slightly more noble sounding. Fact #2: Squeegee-ing can be serious business. Fact #3: RIP Lindsay
